‘E tohe i ta te puruhi’ - ‘Persistence has its rewards’
This year we are taking the conference to Te Waipounamu for the first time and the host city is Ōtautahi. The theme is based on resilience, rebuilding and change which leads on from prior years around disruption and innovation. For Te Waipounamu, this also aligns to post earthquake activity happening in Ōtautahi and more recently in Kaikōura. Both are going through change, and it speaks to the resilience of the people, rebuilding in collaboration with the Iwi, the people and the new way of doing business. Hui-ā-Tau 2018 will include inspiring and influential speakers, as well as, a marae visit and an opportunity to learn about the local businesses of Te Waipounamu.
